Santa Claus Comes to Town

We went to visit Santa Claus, and the kids were absolute angels! Macy wasn't too sure of the big guy, but was happy to sit with Mrs. Claus.

Goofy Girl!

These are some recent conversations I've had with Macy. Life with a two year old is always entertaining!

Me: Macy, come here so I can change your diaper.
Macy: My daddy just changed my diaper yesterday!

She says this all the time. And, if it's something she really doesn't want to do, she adds a little more.

Me: Macy, it's time to take a nap.
Macy: I just took a nap yesterday....two times!

And another... We were sitting outside one day and the conversation went something like this.

Macy: Mommy, do you see those boys over there?
Me: No Honey, those are girls.
Macy: Mommy, you don't see those boys? Look they're right there!
Me: Those are girls honey.
Macy: No Mommy, those are boys. OK?
Me: OK, they're boys.
Macy: Mommy, you're silly. Those are girls!

She's quite the character!

Meeting Our New Cousin

We are so excited to welcome the newest member of our family...Charlie William Huls. He is the cutest, little, cuddly baby! Brady was so proud that he got to hold him. Welcome to the world Charlie!

Macy's Self Portrait

Macy just had to have my camera, and when I let her use it, she took nothing but pictures of herself. She must know how cute she is!

More Conversations w/ Brady

Brady was outside using his new sidewalk chalk the other day. He comes running into the house and we have the following conversation:

Brady: Mom, I'm drawing with my chalk and I need the decorations.

Me: OK (hand him the animal stencils that came with it)

Brady: No Mommy...not those. I need the decorations.

Me: I don't know what decorations you're talking about. These are the only ones that came with the chalk.

Brady: The decorations....it's a piece of paper and it shows you how to draw the pictures.

Me: OH...OK...the directions? Here you go.

Brady: Mommy....you know what I had a dream about last night?

Me: No, what?

Brady: Close your eyes and I'll show you.
